Please join CMSC Spirits Group at the upcoming Fall Tasting for Laurenti’s ShopRite Wine & Spirits benefiting Habitat for Humanity. The event will take place November 13th at 7:00 p.m. Just as in previous years this event will be held at the Mercer Oaks Country Club (725 Village Road West, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550 609-275-9260). The food will be provided by mercer Oaks Catering. Their menu is full of delectable and wonderfully-paired items to go with the wine and spirits of the evening. The tasting this year will feature over 200 different wines, specialty spirits and beer. Tickets are $45 for advance purchase and $50 at the door. There will be sales representatives to help guide you through the tastings so that your experience will be educational and satisfying. March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction – Latin Fusion

The March of Dimes will be celebrating their Signature Chefs Auction – Latin Fusion night on October 5th at the Glenpointe Marriott Hotel (100 Frank W. Burr Boulevard, Teaneck, NJ 07666). The event will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Signature Chefs ~ Latin Fusion is a unique tasting event featuring International samplings from fine area restaurants and caterers complemented by fine wines and spirits. Other highlights include a silent auction of unique gifts, live entertainment, dancing and dance demonstrations. The affair attracts a diverse group of guests, including food connoisseurs, corporate executives, public figures, and members of the community. Approximately 250 people are in attendance. Proceeds will support the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Tickets are $100.00. Cathedral Kitchen is proud to present their 3rd Annual Harvest for Hunger on Friday, October 30, 2009. The event will be held at Collingswood Grand Ballroom (315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood, NJ). The event will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Each month, the Cathedral Kitchen provides approximately 8,000 hot nutritious meals to the poor and hungry of Camden, NJ. The mission of Cathedral Kitchen “is to provide meals and other services to the poor and hungry of the city of Camden without regard to race, religion or sex.” The people who come to the Kitchen to eat are among the poorest residents of the city: homeless, jobless, those with disabilities, addiction issues, the working poor. The ages range from infants to elderly. Everyone is welcomed and given a hearty meal. They also provide clothing and house hold items.
Honorary Event Chair is Aaron McCargo, Host of “Big Daddy’s House” on the Food Network. Over 150 wines, microbrew beers and spirits will be available for tasting. Hors d’oeuvres will be served as guests take chance on gift baskets. The evening will also feature a live auction for wine and other prizes including a vacation on Martha’s Vineyard & a trip to California’s wine country. Tickets for the event are $60.00.
